Modern Lawyer

Juliette joined Farrar Gesini Dunn in 2001 and became a Director in 2003. She specialises in all areas of family law drawing upon her experience litigating, as a Registrar of the Court and in leading the practice of collaborative law. For Juliette what matters most is that her clients achieve outcomes that work for them and their family, allowing them to move forward with life. She provides her clients with clarity and certainty when the family law system can appear complex and litigious.

Juliette is a kind, strong, empathetic, clever lawyer who listens carefully to her clients, solving intractable or difficult problems and engaging in complex discussions to achieve agreed outcomes. She applies her skills to all types of cases whether complex financial matters or challenging children’s cases. If litigation is the best option, she leaves no stone unturned.

Juliette is a nationally accredited mediator with sophisticated skills to support couples to reach an agreement. She conducts her mediations with respect, patience and dignity.

In mid-2021 Juliette left Farrar Gesini Dunn to lead the Sexual Assault Prevention, Response and Law Reform Program in ACT Government. The groundbreaking Listen. Take Action to Prevent, Believe and Heal Report was released in December 2021. This Report has led to reforming responses to sexual violence in the ACT, including the subsequent significant Sexual Assault (Police) Review. After completing this work Juliette is pleased to return to Farrar Gesini Dunn.

As an experienced family lawyer and over the last 3 and half years at ACT Government, Juliette has observed the need to continue to find new ways to best support people in their moments of crisis and conflict. She has extensive knowledge and understanding of family law and is committed to ensuring her clients and the people she assists can navigate their way from a place of uncertainty in a timely and supported way.
